The inspiration behind the village of Ambridge in Radio 4’s The Archers series could have to be reclassified as a town after planning permission was given for two new housing developments.
Permission has been given for Bovis Homes to build 100 houses on a greenfield site in Inkberrow, in Worcestershire; separate permission has also been given for a further 40 houses on a different site in the village.
