Real Radio, part of Guardian Media Group, has chosen Arlington Property Developments’ Glasgow Business Park as the location for its Scottish broadcasting facility.
The station, which will begin broadcasting from January, selected the park after viewing a number of sites along the M8 motorway. It has taken Building 5 of Parkway Court, the first phase of a speculative office development which will comprise 3,437 sq m (37,000 sq ft) of accommodation in six pavilions.
Angus Lachlan, Arlington’s development surveyor, said: “We are delighted to have secured Real Radio. This letting is further endorsement of the excellent location, environment and quality of accommodation provided at Glasgow Business Park.
“Guardian Media Group joins other high-quality tenants, including The Miller Group and David Wilson Homes, at Parkway Court and I am pleased to confirm we have further enquiries in legal hands and anticipate announcing further lettings shortly.”
John Myers, managing director of GMG Radio, said: “Finding the right home for Real Radio was very important to us – the links along the M8 are first class. We are a few minutes from Glasgow city centre and only a short drive from Edinburgh. It’s an ideal location.”
