North West entrepreneur Yousef Tishbi’s property company, Realty Estates, is understood to be close to buying the BBC’s 5.4-acre former base in Manchester.
In February, EG revealed that Realty, along with Bruntwood, Downing Developments and the Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund were on the BBC’s shortlist for New Broadcasting House on the city’s Oxford Road (19 February, p34).
