The sale of a luxury house in Barnes, SW13 has set a new price record for London residential property.
Carter Jonas has sold a seven-bedroom property for £14m, double the previous record for the area.
The 14,000 sq ft property on Queens Ride was sold to a Middle Eastern family.
Tom Osborn, head of sales in Barnes for Carter Jonas, said: “Traditionally, buyers at this price point might have erred towards Knightsbridge or Mayfair, but Barnes is firmly cementing itself as a contender to the prime central London crown.”
