London office agents advised on a record-breaking 383 leasing transactions in the first three months of 2018 – more than any other Q1 period on record.
This breaks the record set just last year, when 356 lettings were completed.
Availability volumes rose by 41% in 2017, from 1,394 units at the start of the year to 1,960 by the end.
Sub-5,000 sq ft spaces comprised the vast majority of units available, as the rise of the serviced office sector began to have a perceptible impact on the wider London market.
With such a high volume of available units flooding the market, an increase in demand for smaller spaces helped power take-up this quarter.
So, what was the amount of space let across this active opening quarter?
