Apartments in a city-centre scheme in Liverpool have achieved record prices.
Beetham Plaza, sited opposite the Liver building at 25 The Strand, has sold flats off-plan for £2,088 per m2 (£194 per sq ft). Local developer Beetham Equities has sold 60% of the flats at the 6,503m2 (70,000 sq ft) scheme.
Alex Wagstaff of Manchester’s DTZ Debenham Tie Leung said residential prices in Liverpool were closing in on Manchester. “The average sale in Liverpool city centre is £120 per sq ft, but Beetham Plaza has been achieving £130-£150.”
