Homebuilders Redrow and Strata have joined forces to redevelop the former Vickers tank factory in Cross Gates, Leeds.
Redrow has bought a 16.35-acre parcel of the 45-acre site, known as Radial Park, off Manston Lane, from Strata. The newly formed joint venture has proposed to turn the site into a residential development comprising 395 new homes of two, three and four bedrooms. The offering will range from traditional family housing to contemporary homes.
Gemma Smith, managing director at Strata, said: “The Strata and Redrow homes will complement each other perfectly, offering something to suit everyone’s style.”
John Handley, managing director of Redrow Yorkshire, highlighted the public realm at the scheme: “The wider development will feature swathes of open space, with a community park in the Eastern corner, two smaller parks and a central open square.”
