Redrow has clinched detailed planning permission for the first phase of 100 homes on 77 acres of undeveloped land at Filton, north
South Gloucestershire Council had already given outline consent for 1,250 homes at the Wallscourt Court Farm site which Redrow acquired from Hewlett Packard for £59m last May. Hewlett Packard was advised by Atisreal.
The new development will be called Tallsticks and forms part of a mixed-use neighbourhood centre where Redrow says uses could include a supermarket and other retail, restaurants, a public house, doctor’s surgery, pharmacy and children’s nursery.
Tallsticks will consist of apartments, terraced homes, detached properties and three-storey villas in the
Peter Carpinelli, managing director of Redrow Homes (South West), said that as part of the overall planning agreement for the Cheswick site, Redrow would fund a planning gain package worth almost £20m.
