Redrow progress hampered by council delays

Redrow said it was on course to more than double output of its affordable homes next year but claimed intransigence from local authorities prevented them building more in the south-east, the region with the most acute housing affordability problems.

The housebuilder made 213 legal completion of its Debut range in the year to 30 June and said in a trading update that it expected output to increase to 500 in the new financial year, with planning in place for 900 Debut homes.
