Redrow subsidiary gets regional director

Redrow has appointed a regional director to their newest subsidiary, Redrow Homes (East Midlands).

Tom Poole, previously an executive within the building supplies sector, has worked for Marshalls and Coventry-based Stonemarket, which manufacture garden landscape products.

Poole says: “Although working directly for a housebuilder is a departure from my previous roles, I have gained experience of the housing industry particularly with my involvement with the pre-cast flooring business, where we were supplying many of the major housebuilders.”

David Campbell-Kelly managing director of this subsidiary said: “We took a deliberate decision to go outside the housing industry for this appointment as a way of harnessing new talent, fresh ideas and a different perspective on our business.

“Tom has an excellent track record in the building materials field and I am sure that many of the lessons he has learned can be applied equally to our own industry.”

Redrow Homes (East Midlands) will focus on the A1 corridor between Peterborough and Retford and also the Nottingham conurbation.

The first three developments, at Grantham, Lincoln and in the village of Bassingham, include flats, town houses, detached family homes and a barn conversion.

The company aims to complete almost 100 new homes in its first year of operation and, as new sites are acquired, is expected to grow to around 350 units pa.
