Redrow has acquired a parcel of land in Southall, west London, which will pave the way for 302 homes.
The house builder has bought the 1.5-acre site in Merrick Road, UB2, for a scheme that will be valued at £120m, comprising 211 homes for private sale and a further 91 homes for shared ownership.
The brownfield site is situated in the Southall Opportunity Area and will be named The Westworks. It will include a café, shops and a gym.
Keith Parrett, regional chief executive at Redrow London, said: “The acquisition of this site in west London is central to the continued growth of Redrow in this region and we are thrilled to be able to deliver hundreds of new homes to Londoners.
“West London is an area of great opportunity and the new Crossrail route will open it up yet further, ensuring that residents are incredibly well-connected to everything the capital has to offer.”
Construction at The Westworks is expected to commence next month, with the first homes expected to be available for sale in October.
