Refurb set for Royal Exchange

royal-exchange-manchester-THUMB.jpegTrinistar Manchester has secured planning consent to carry out a major refurbishment of The Royal Exchange in Manchester city centre.

Trinistar will redevelop 120,000 sq ft of office space and create a new roof garden.

Future plans include improvements to the 100,000 sq ft retail space in the building, The Royal Exchange theatre entrances and the arcade linking St Ann’s Square to Cross Street.

Work on the office is set to begin in June with completion scheduled in the first quarter of 2016.

Richard O’Boyle, executive director at Trinity IM, said: “This is the first in a series of planning applications we will be submitting in our bid to bring The Royal Exchange, a stunning grade II listed building in the heart of the city, back to its former glory.”
