Solihull-based Regal Property Group has submitted an outline planning application for a 660ft tower in Birmingham’s core leisure pitch.
The £125m Aedas Architects-designed building, at the corner of Broad Street and Sheepcote Street, will comprise a 289-bedroom luxury hotel, 256 serviced flats andthree floors of penthouses.
The 56-storey building will also include a Sky Bar on the 30th floor, a spa, a gym, and conference and meeting rooms.
Subject to consent, work on site could start by the end of next year, with completion scheduled for 2013.
