Regal gets nod to crown Clarendon with extra floors

Regal London has been granted permission for the creation of an additional two storeys of grade-A office space at its Clarendon Works scheme in Watford, Hertfordshire.

The extra floors will enable more than 173,000 sq ft of new space to be delivered at the scheme, which also comprises some 14,000 sq ft of amenity space with a ground floor café, roof terrace and private bar, gym and fitness suite.

Regal said the increase in floorspace reflected a “significant increase in demand for space that is best in class, amenity rich, sustainably aware and well located”.

Regal London co-founder Paul Eden said: “Clarendon Works sets a new standard in Watford, providing grade-A office space in the town centre and topping the charts for sustainability accreditations.”

He said the scheme would enhance the town centre and attract occupiers to the area.

During the construction of the development, the site will host the first Regal London Real Estate Academy and each year will see 80 ex-military learners and local people go through an on-site training academy.
