A London developer has promised to pay £100,000 to fund a pop-up LGBTQ+ bar on the site of Tower Hamlets’ famous Joiners Arms.
Regal London bought the site in 2015 and closed the original bar, which boasted regulars including Alexander McQueen and Sir Ian McKellen.
Regal has already promised a £138,000 contribution to the fit-out of a new venue in the Hackney Road development, which includes a hotel, offices and nine flats.
