Regal London has won permission for its 759-home Wembley mixed-use scheme.
Brent Council last night gave its blessing to the £270m development at Euro House, on Fulton Road.
The JTP-designed redevelopment of the former Euro Car Parts HQ will include 35% affordable housing and 78 three-bedroom family homes. Regal will also develop 33,000 sq ft of flexible commercial space for retail, light industrial and logistics uses.
Regal London agreed the acquisition of the 3.6-acre site from Dominvs earlier this year, in a £35m deal backed by ICG Real Estate.
The scheme will create a publicly accessible green space along Wealdstone Brook in the centre of Wembley Park, as well as an east to west route from Fourth Way to Fulton Road.
An on-site academy will provide 10 training courses during the construction period, with more than 120 graduates expected to qualify, creating over £3.6m of additional social value across the duration of the development.
Regal planning director Steve Harrington said: “This marks a step change in the growth of Regal London as we embark upon our largest mixed-use project to date.”
The developer is aiming for a start on site in July 2022, with the first homes occupied in 2025 and full practical completion in 2027.
