Regent Inns has paid £700,000 for the freehold of the former Cullens shop at 157 Balham High Road, London, SW12. The deal is due for completion next week.
The shop has a built depth of only 21.33m (70ft) but the site depth is 95m (312ft), making it possible for Regent to add a rear extension which will increase the size from 213.6 sq m (2,300 sq ft) to 418 sq m (4,500 sq ft). The company will be on site shortly and construction is due for completion in 13 weeks.
David Burke, the company’s acquisitions manager, said Regent was on target to open 25 new pubs across the country this financial year.
Reid Rose Gregory advised Cullens and Jones Lang Wootton acted for Regents Inns.
