Regional REIT secures flurry of lettings

Regional REIT has made a series of lettings across three of its assets.

In Leeds, the final 10,550 sq ft at Century Way, 3200 Thorpe Park has been let to Marlow Foods on behalf of Quorn Foods.

The lease is for 10-years at a headline rent of £211,600 pa (£20 per sq ft). It follows earlier lettings to Sodexo and Countryside Properties.

In Manchester, two existing occupiers at 9 Portland Street have renewed their leases.

Simard has renewed for 5,725 sq ft on the fifth floor, and Tast Marketing has renewed for 4,377 sq ft on the sixth floor. Both are for 10 years, with a break option in year five, at a revised combined rent of £207,091 pa.

In Glasgow, Cornerstone Community Care has let the 5,746sq ft fourth floor of Templeton Business Centre for five years at a headline rent of £68,000 pa.

Templeton is now almost fully let, with 7,204 sq ft left to fill.

Stephen Inglis, chief executive of the REIT’s asset manager, London & Scottish Property Investment Management, said: “Demand continues to be strong for our assets and we are very encouraged by the rental rates that we are able to achieve which once again are significantly ahead of our expected rental values. This further demonstrates that we are witnessing rental growth in our portfolio across all of the major UK regions.

“The acquisition pipeline remains very healthy and we will update shareholders as we continue to invest the proceeds from the earlier in the year equity raise and the recycling of capital from sales.”
