Serviced offices operator Regus is to take the final available floor at Argent’s 9,920 sq m (100,000 sq ft) No. 3 Brindleyplace for its second site in central Birmingham.
The deal, when complete, means that all available offices in the mixed-use Brindleyplace have been let.
Potential occupiers will now have to consider pre-lets as the final stage of the first phase, the 10,404 sq m (112,000 sq ft) No. 4 Brindleyplace, will not be completed until June 1999. Terms have already been agreed with an unnamed local occupier to take 2,415 sq m (26,000 sq ft) in the building.
Regus will operate out of 1,579 sq m (17,000 sq ft) on the second floor of No. 3. The offices operator is believed to have agreed a rent similar to the £226 per sq m (£21 per sq ft) which the Royal Mail is paying for space in the same building.
The other occupier at No. 3 is Grimley, which is moving into two floors next month in a relocation from the city centre.
Grimley and Richard Ellis are letting agents at Brindleyplace.
