An art dealer in Mayfair has secured a 20% reduction in its rent following noise complaints caused by redevelopment work.
Timothy Taylor gallery in Carlos Place, W1, will receive a discount on its £530,000 a year rent backdated to 14 August 2014, when scaffolding first went up.
A judge ruled this week that the gallery was entitled to a rebate of at least £150,000, with the 20% reduction continuing to apply until developer Mayfair House Corporation’s work on the street completes.
