Residential rents will continue to rise in 2024, but not as quickly as they have this year, according to Zoopla.
Over the past year, it said, rents have increased by 9.7%, to an average of £1,201 per month.
They are now a third higher across the nation than before the pandemic.
But a “chronic mismatch between supply and demand” means that rents will rise by just 5% next year – a three-year low.
