Housing association Network Housing Group is planning a 21-storey residential tower on the site of its Wembley, HA9, headquarters.
Some 242 mixed-tenure homes are planned, with the exact split still to be decided. The building will replace an eight-storey building that is currently home to the housing association.
A pre-application will go before the planning committee tomorrow for comment before a formal planning application is submitted.
The submission is the result of Network Housing’s recently agreed prelet with Quintain, in which it will take 59,000 sq ft of grade A office space within the first office plot to come forward in the Wembley Park masterplan. The 115,000 sq ft plot will be delivered in mid-2019 and is just south of Network Housing’s current site.
Quintain has consent for 1m sq ft of office space in total, as well as 6,000 homes. The private element will be wholly build to rent.
Helen Evans, chief executive of Network Homes, said the deal “guarantees our future at the heart of our core borough and will provide the perfect base for us to continue to build high-quality homes and deliver excellent services for all our customers.”
