London residential development is at a two-decade high, with a record number of starts, units under construction and planning applications in 2014.
Both inner and outer boroughs saw roughly 18,000 units each go under construction last year, more than at any point in the past 20 years and 45% higher than the last peak in 2007. According to EGi’s London Residential Research, starts were up by nearly 24% in the capital as the market charged ahead of expectation.
