Royal Gurkha site village plan

Defence Estates has selected Wilcon Homes to redevelop the 193-acre (78 ha) former home of the Royal Gurkha Rifles as a 1,000-home village. Wilcon is proposing to build the new homes over a seven-year period at the Queen Elizabeth II Barracks site in Church Crookham, Hampshire.

LMS launches sellers pack

Legal Marketing Services has launched its own UK-wide sellers pack this week. The pack will be provided on a “no buy-no fee” basis, where customers only pay for the £500 pack if they sell the property. LMS is negotiating with 10 agents which are interested in selling the packs.

Developer sets up shop

Developer Wilson Connolly is bypassing Bristol estate agents and setting up shop on its own to sell properties at all its schemes within the city. The Apartment Store, on Anchor Road, Bristol, will provide a one-stop shop to sell 120 homes from the company’s five developments.

Giant tower for Surfers’ Paradise

A development by Sunland Group and the Anderson family is to build the world’s tallest residential tower on Australia’s Gold Coast. The 80-storey, 320m tower will offer 527 apartments. It will be located on Hamilton Avenue, Surfers’ Paradise.

Landscape takes Bath plunge

Landscape Estates is to develop a mixed-use scheme at the former Stothert & Pitt premises on the Western Riverside, Bath. Plans include several hundred homes and 200,000-400,000 sq ft (18,580-37,160m2) of offices.

Landscape bought the site from Sainsbury’s for around £7m.
