Resolution Property has been awarded planning consent to bring forward the development of a 280-bedroom hotel at its Black Lion House site in Whitechapel, E1.
Hyatt Hotels will operate the 65,000 sq ft hotel – its third location in the UK.
The hotel will be managed by Cycas Hospitality, marking Hyatt’s fourth collaboration with Cycas in Europe.
Resolution has worked in close collaboration with Berkeley Capital Group, who have played a key role in bringing both Hyatt and Cycas into the project.
Construction is due to commence in autumn 2018, with completion expected in the second half of 2020.
Resolution Property bought Black Lion House in late 2015.
