Businesses are forsaking an area in Edinburgh which was designed to be the Scotland’s Riviera.
David Ramsden, owner of the Fitzhenry restaurant, at the Leith waterside extravaganza of bars and eateries, is planning to close and move into central Edinburgh. It follows the departure of Daruma-Ya, Saray and the Dalmare restaurants.
Ramsden blamed the lack of cinemas clubs and other facilities as well as the long trek from residential areas. Excessive rubbish is also a problem.
