Quintain has signed up Littlewoods as an anchor at its 250,000 sq ft Parishes scheme in Scunthorpe.
Littlewoods has taken 21,800 sq ft, with 14,500 sq ft on the ground floor and 7,300 sq ft on the first floor, at £230,000 pa on a 30-year lease.
The £40m development has already attracted TJ Hughes (40,000 sq ft) and Woolworths (63,000 sq ft). Rents are £65 zone A compared with £70-£80 zone A in the high street.
Parishes, which Quintain is developing with the Wykeland Group, is due to open in October, and includes a bus station, car park, and a refurbishment of the council’s multi-storey car park. The leisure element is anchored by a seven-screen cinema, which is let to Cinemark.
Bill Raspin of Quintain said: “The Parishes is now almost 70% let and we are on schedule to be open for autumn 2002.”
