Retailers take Southgate space

SouthGate-Bath-570

Four retailers have taken space at Aviva Investor’s and British Land’s SouthGate shopping centre in Bath.

Office, Laura Ashley, Greggs and Lavazza have all taken space on ten-year leases at the 430,000 sq ft centre.

It will be Lavazza’s first store outside of London, while Laura Ashley and Office will be relocating from other areas of Bath city centre.

The deals follow recent lettings to Smiggle and Fat Face; the latter’s letting doubled the size of its store in the centre.

Simon Green, associate director for Aviva Investors, said: “These lettings further cement SouthGate as the prime retail destination in Bath.”

Aviva Investors and British Land were advised by Strutt & Parker and DTZ.
