A 0.8-acre development site on the Kings Road, SW3, with potential for retirement housing is being sold by the Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. It is expected to fetch up to £50m.
The current block, built in the 1970s, is a vacant care home with C2 planning which could accommodate up to 70 extra-care apartments.
Tom Scaife, partner at Knight Frank, said: “This is one of the last sizable development sites left on the Kings Road and is a rare offering for an extra care developer to create a world-class facility in the heart of Chelsea.
The site is being marketed by Knight Frank Institutional Consultancy.
