A return of shoppers to the high street has lifted Superdrug’s profits by more than 70%.
Pretax profit at the health and beauty chain, which has more than 750 shops in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, jumped by 71.7% to £77.8m in the year to the end of December, ahead of pre-pandemic levels.
Superdrug said improved customer numbers in city centres had helped to bump up its sales by 17% to £1.4bn in the past year.
