David and Simon Reuben have confirmed they plan to convert London’s Millbank Tower into luxury flats after Westminster council last week gave them planning permission for 207 flats and a 150-bedroom hotel.
The area is no longer the prime office location that it was when Millbank was built in 1963, and has become increasingly residential, a spokesman said.
Tenants have three-year leases so the changes are some years down the line, the spokesman said. We are continuing to monitor the market and could decide to keep some offices, he said.
