The Reuben brothers have submitted plans for a luxury residential redevelopment of the 33-storey Millbank Tower, SW1.
The Grade II listed tower at 21-24 Millbank will be extended by 50ft to a height of 440ft, incorporating three new floors. It will house 215 one- to four-bedroom flats in a John McAslan + Partners-designed scheme.
The basement will house a spa and fitness facility, while the three-storey podium is a candidate in the Holocaust Commission’s search for a venue for a Holocaust Memorial Centre. If the building is not selected for that use, the podium will serve artistic and cultural uses.
A neighbouring Y-shaped building is also part of the plans. It will be extended by three floors and turned into a hotel.
