The most in-demand areas of the country to buy a home have been revealed by property portal Rightmove. It tracked the top locations on which house hunters have set up alerts for new property listings.
It showed that the most popular places are a mixture of high-priced city centre locales, Welsh seaside towns and commuter hotspots.
This meant that there is a large price difference between the UK’s most desirable places: the gap between the top spots in London and Wales, for instance, is almost £600,000.
