Henry Dimbleby, co-founder of fast food chain Leon, and Tom Bloxham, co-founder of Urban Splash, have been appointed to a new strategic board at retail property support group Revo.
The new board will advise the government on supporting investment in the UK’s towns and cities.
Members have been drawn from a range of backgrounds including residential, leisure, urban design, retail property, local authorities and occupiers.
Diane Savoury, chair of Gloucester LEP; Pat Ritchie, chief executive of Newcastle City Council; and Allan Strickland of Haringey Council will also all sit on the board alongside landlords including Hammerson, British Land, M&G, Hark, Ellandi and intu.
Mark Williams, vice president of Revo, said: “The make-up of the board ensures Revo’s activities moving forward, including our work with government, will be shaped by insights from not only from private sector investors and developers, but also local authorities and retail and leisure operators, which have such a bearing on the look, feel – and success – of a place.”
Ed Cooke, chief executive of Revo, added: “It has been 12 months since we re-branded from BCSC to Revo, part of a strategy to support all businesses in the retail property and place-making sector to enable them to thrive and prosper through our influence, networks, thought leadership and benchmarks.”
