Richardsons offers to buy Rover Longbridge

The Richardson brothers have offered to buy Rover’s Longbridge plant in Birmingham.

The Merry Hill and Star City developer wants to develop the £35-£100m, 182.12 (450 acre) site for industrial premises, offices, retail and leisure. The Richardsons said they would also consider buying Rover’s stockpiled cars.

A property agent in London approached the company but the Richardsons said it was not unusual for agents to offer sites without a briefing from the owners.
