The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors says the house price boom is coming to an end.
Price growth slowed for the fourth successive month in January. The number of surveyors reporting price rises fell to the post-September low reached in November 2001.
For the first time in almost three years, surveyors expected prices to fall over the next three months.
