Property sales last month fell to their lowest level since just after the referendum on EU membership, while new instructions fell for the fourteenth straight month, the latest survey by the RICS showed.
The feedback indicates a fairly flat summer for the sector, both in terms of activity and prices, RICS chief economist Simon Rubinsohn said.
House prices rose, supported by the low numbers of properties on the market.
