Rightacres has submitted plans to Cardiff council for its 150,000 sq ft city centre office development for the BBC.
The move comes after the corporation formally signed a deal with Rightacres to prelet the block, which will be the centrepiece of the 1m sq ft Central Square development (pictured). The BBC has taken a 25-year lease at £25 per sq ft.
Estates Gazette revealed in 2013 that Rightacres and the council were buying up land in Cardiff city centre to create a major financial district.
Plans will also be submitted shortly for a 100,000 sq ft speculative block to be built alongside the BBC building.
