The Mercers’ Company has signed US sock brand Stance, which features designs from contributing creative director Rihanna, for its first overseas bricks-and-mortar store in London.
The shop, at 3 Neal Street, WC2, will launch early next month.
The brand has taken a 2,000 sq ft unit across two floors, with the ground level housing retail.
The basement level will be a gallery and event space, which will open in 2019.
Its product is also endorsed by England rugby player Billy Vunipola and NBA basketball star James Harden.
The deal is the latest in a string of leasing activity for The Mercers’ Company, including the UK’s leading specialist retailer of maps, Stanfords, which will relocate for the first time since 1901 to 7 Mercer Walk, WC2.
Additionally, luxury and sustainable footwear brand Allbirds opened its debut European store at 121-123 Long Acre, also WC2, earlier this month.
