A group of four Australian farming families have launched a A$386m bid for cattle stations held by the Kidman family, amounting to the largest parcel of privately owned land in the world.
The bid rivals a A$365m offer by a consortium of mining magnate Gina Rinehart and various Chinese investors, which has preferred bidder status.
