Rival retailers including B&M and Poundland are eyeing bids for the stricken discounter Wilko.
Administrators at PwC have given suitors until the end of tomorrow to make rescue offers for the budget chain, which collapsed last Thursday.
B&M European Value Retail, Poundland, The Range and Home Bargains have all expressed interest in parts of the business. A shortlist will be asked for second round bids on Friday.
Wilko has around 400 shops across the UK, but an offer for the entire business is thought to be unlikely. Instead the suitors are likely to make offers for parts of the chain.
