Regeneration specialist RivingtonHark has appointed London and Continental Railways director Amy Blackwell to lead its ESG programme, while also joining as a director of asset management.

Blackwell will play a key role in the enhancement of both private and public sector assets.

On the asset management side, Blackwell will be heavily involved in executing the strategy with Redical Holdings, including running Leeds’ Victoria Gate and Victoria Quarter shopping centres.

At LCR, Blackwell led the asset management team. Her responsibilities included creating best value at least cost for all built assets, chairing various governance panels and developing sustainability initiatives.

She also ran the repurposing of the former international Eurostar terminal at London Waterloo station into a new retail and leisure destination.

Her previous roles also include asset manager for funds at Lothbury Investment Management, where she was primarily responsible for managing high street and out-of-town retail properties, and asset manager at now-collapsed intu, where she worked on the tenant mix and repurposing initiatives at its shopping centres in Uxbridge and Milton Keynes.

Mark Harvey, executive director at RivingtonHark, said Blackwell’s placemaking skills will “complement the work we do across the portfolio”.

Blackwell said: “I am passionate about creating sustainable communities and environments and look forward to working with the experienced team at RivingtonHark and its clients to deliver these.”
