Homeware retailer Robert Dyas is moving its distribution and e-commerce facility to Maylands Business Park in Hemel Hampstead.
The retailer, owned by Theo Paphitis, is transferring its warehouse functions from an outsourced third-party logistics provider in Enfield to a self-managed process run from a lease on a 130,443 sq ft building owned by Axa Real Estate.
Robert Dyas will take a 10-year lease with no breaks on the shed.
Sister company Ryman will also use the shed for deliveries to its London stores.
LSH director of industrial and logistics, Claire Madden, said: “With close proximity to the M1 and M25, Hemel Hempstead is the ideal location for Robert Dyas and Ryman to base their logistics hub. Lambert Smith Hampton has a strong track record disposing of warehouse units over 100,000 sq ft in Hemel Hempstead, so were ideally placed to advise on this project.”
