Robin Hood is no longer on the side of the poor, according to natives of an idyllic Yorkshire fishing village.
Locals have complained that they are being priced out of Robin Hood’s Bay, which lies six miles south of Whitby in the North York Moors National Park.
The bucolic village experienced a sudden increase in visitors seeking staycations during the pandemic, while locals claimed house prices have now nearly doubled in eight years.
One resident said it was “killing” the village.
