Stall-holders in Rochdale have been given four-week’s notice before the town’s 800-year old market closes for good.
The local authority for the Greater Manchester town said the market, which is in its third location in five years, was no longer financially viable.
Traders and shoppers in the town have complained that they had not been consulted.
