FINANCE: Rockspring Property Investment Managers has hired Kim Sardar as assistant fund manager for its recently launched UK Value 2 Fund.
She will work alongside Richard Bains, the fund manager. The UK Value 2 Fund launched in May with £71.5m of equity commitments from three institutional investors from Europe and Australia, which it has since increased to £100m.
The opportunistic fund targets an IRR of 12.5% and invests in industrial, office and retail properties across the UK with opportunities for asset management. The vehicle completed its first deal last month with the £37m of the Maskew Retail Park in Peterborough.
Sardar joins from AEW Europe, where she was employed as investments associate director. Prior to joining AEW, she worked at Lehman’s.
