Rolls-Royce has found a taker for its former London headquarters in Westminster.
It has agreed to sublet its 37,000 sq ft at 62 Buckingham Gate, SW1 to management consultancy Baringa Partners, which is exiting its current base on the South Bank at Dominican Court, SE1 in response to strong business growth.
Rolls-Royce decided to quit the space back in 2018 as part of plans to cut costs as it restructured the group, which also saw it announce plans to reduce its workforce by more than 4,000.
The engineering firm occupied part of the 6th and the 7th floors at 62 Buckingham Gate from 2013, paying around £70 per sq ft. Its lease agreement with Landsec expires in 2028.
The £15.7bn turnover firm has subsequently taken space from the Guardian Media Group in Kings Cross at 90 York Way, N1, where it currently occupies around 20,000 sq ft at the building owned by German fund Deka, according to Radius Data Exchange.
