Gerald Ronson has launched Ronson Capital Partners through which he plans to return to the mainstream UK commercial property investment market with the focus on London.
The new private equity group has won backing from several groups, mainly wealthy families and Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds, including investors from Oman. It has the capacity to invest more than £500m in UK property, including debt. Its first deal, for £63m, is a 12-storey office building, in Chiltern Street, Marylebone, owned by Targetfollow which went into administration last year.
