Rosemound submits plans for £175m Derby park

Rosemound has submitted a planning application for a £175m business park in Derby.

The 180-acre New Raynesway scheme could provide up to 2m sq ft of commercial space offices, industrial and automotive retail as well as Rosemound’s distribution mainstay.

However, the developer is believed to be considering speculatively constructing ‘big sheds’ of up to 750,000 sq ft.

It hopes to gain planning consent in spring next year, with buildings ready for occupation in 2007.

Rosemound has owned the site since the beginning of the year, when it bought it from Acetate Products and Derby City Council. It was originally called ‘Pride Park II’.

North Rae Sanders, CB Richard Ellis and Innes England are acting for Rosemound.
