Rotherham council wants partner for £100m scheme

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for a development partner for its £100m town centre regeneration scheme.

It has put out a tender for the first phase of the development, a £25m-£30m waterside regeneration at the western gateway to the town.

The council, which already owns the land, want to build around 85 flats, 21,500 sq ft of retail space and 21,500 sq ft of offices.

Proposals for the scheme have to be submitted by 29 April, with the five short-listed developers selected by 27 May.
